There are many ways YOU can contribute to the Stillwater Children's Museum and many benefits when you chose to do so! Remember every donation, whether cash, office supplies, or volunteer time, help keep the costs down so that the money raised can be spent on what is important -- the children! We are a 501(3)(c) organization so your donations are tax deductible. It
is very simple to donate to the Stillwater Children's Museum! You can
always send donations via cash or check to:
We have also made it very easy and convenient to donate online using one of our three secure on line options - PayPal, JustGive or Network for Good. To donate, just click on the button for the online service you choose. You will be taken to that company's secure website where they will ask for your information and how you would like to donate. The charge will show up on your credit card statement as coming from the respective handling company rather than from the Stillwater Children's Museum, although your receipt for your taxes will show it is a donation to the Stillwater Children's Museum. Remember we are a 501(3)(c)so your donations are tax deductible. You
may also download the form below if you wish to enroll in an automatic
bank withdrawal option. This form must be completed, signed
and sent to the museum office with a voided check. If you are interested in providing non-cash donations, we are always in need of office supplies (such as post-it notes, staples, paper clips, storage boxes, stationery, copy paper, 3-hole punch, pens, pencils, markers, scissors, desk accessories, etc.) and craft and science supplies (such as glitter, construction paper, glue, stickers, paint, etc.). Additionally, the Museum could also use marker boards, a paper shredder, a paper cutter, and an electronic organizer (PDA). A
charitable gift of stocks or bonds
provides a potential opportunity for tax savings while generously sharing
with others. A gift of stock owned for more than one year might entitle
you to a charitable deduction for the full market value at the time
the gift is made. If the stock has appreciated, you also may avoid a
capital gains tax on the appreciation. Check with your accountant or
attorney for further clarification. In addition to helping the museum,
you may diversify away from low-basis, long-term holdings into other
assets that will better suit your current needs. If you would like to
discuss a gift of stocks or bonds to the Stillwater Childrens
Museum, please call Steve Norman with Edward Jones Investments at (405)
372-7437. If
you are interested in donating or volunteering
your time or services, see our volunteer page. We are in
need of storage space and some professional services (audit, legal,
fundraising, grant writing, etc). If
you have questions or would like to speak with us directly, you can
reach us at the office at (405) 533-3333 or at info@stillwaterchildrensmuseum.org.
Donations can always be dropped off at the office at 1601 South Main,
or you may call (405) 533-3333 to arrange for pick-up. |
